PATTERN SEEKERS
Education Center for Young Autistic Individuals - Budapest Hungary This project was inspired by Sir Simon Philip Baron-Cohen’s book “Pattern Seekers” during my research for the subject. According to the studies,1/3 of autistic children have unexpected abilities. (Prof.P.Howling). Talents are much more common in autistic group much more than any other particular group. (F.Happe). While everyone has a Systemizing Mechanism. Some people are hyper-systemizers and a comparatively high number of those hyper-systemizers are autistic. I used Alan Turing patterns as a representation of how a hypersystemizer’s brain recognizes - if and then- patterns. These patterns allowed me to create a diversity of places with soft curves for autistic individuals’ proximity needs and clear circulation areas with various anchors along the spaces to help autistic users locate themselves.
